(QS. Al-Ahzab: 35)

By Muhammad al-Shareef

Many years ago in Uzbekistan, a baby boy was born blind. His Mother, the strong Mu'minah that she was, did not lose sight of He who had the Power to cure him. She prayed and prayed for her sons sight. And within a few years the boy regained his eyes.

Ya Allah

"Ya Allah give me death whilst I'm in sajdah. Ya Allah let the last words of my life be the Shahadah. Ya Allah If I die in my sleep let my heart beat the dhikr of Allah. Oh Allah, the guider of the lost soul forgive the entire Ummah! Ya Allah forgive My Parents, My Family, and My Brothers & Sisters In Islam.. Ameen."

In the Name of Allah

Poem written by : Velma Cook

In the name of Allah we are born
In His name we live
and in His name we die

Our shadows prostrate to their Creator morning and evening
without our consent
Birds and animals usher in the times of prayer

Birds circumambulate the Ka'ba
while migrating birds stretch forth their wings
finding their way by Allah's Mercy

Only to feel unrest and leave once more
ever-searching, traveling discontent until they die

We, also wander
some blindly
while others see

What is Islam ?

Poem written by : Maymoonah MS Adly

"What is Islam?” is the question you ask.
Answering this question is every Muslims task.

Describing Islam can be a lot,
But first I’ll tell you what Islam is not.

Islam is not Faraqan and terrorism.
Nor is it oppressing women and racism.

Islam doesn’t teach these things.
On the contrary it forbids them.

Islam isn’t focused on selling news papers and bean pies.
It’s not about drinking goats milk and having many wives.

Most people think Islam is just a religion.
But, it is actually a detailed way of living, prescribed by Allah, the merciful, the forgiving.

Peace, submission, and morality,Respect, kindness and charity.
And worshipping one God, the All Mighty, This is Islam.

It demolishes the cloudiness and confusion in our brains.
Faith in God is one thing Islam sustains.

It makes clear our purpose of life, beginning and end.
People take our wealth and freedom, but our faith we must defend.

- I LOVE ALLAH ..:: Loss... ::.. [Written by: Rehana Malik]

Every Human is drowning in loss,
By time, man proves to be careless,
Charging through life with little purpose,
Until faith develops leading to conviction and obedience.

I’m reflecting on the days gone by,
And how I have been spending my time,
Was it spent in securing my future (hereafter)?
Or is it the present that I chose to nurture,

Were my prayers performed with khushoo?
Or did shaytan fill my chest with a whisper or two,
Did I recite the mushaf with flair?
Or are the words still floating in the air,

Did I share a friendly smile?
Or turn my back and run a mile,
Am I looking for a hundred excuses?
For why I didn’t attend the lectures,

Did I uphold the ties of kinship?
Call my relatives to renew my friendships,
Was I overcome with burning desires?
Or were they suppressed by the reminder of hellfire.

Did I show genuine concern for others?
In search for my own spiritual salvation.
Did I measure success by worldly gains?
If so, then I am doomed to fail!

I’m reflecting on the moments gone by,
And the ways I could have beautified my time,

This time I’ll show “time” it’s true worth,
And cuddle my time with good deeds, actions and words,

In hope to survive my own escape from impending loss!

 - I LOVE ALLAH ..:: No One but Allah ::.. [Written by: Khurram Malik]

Who filled the world with light?
Who raised the mountain high?
Who raises us when we die?
No one but Allah.

Who sees inside your soul?
Who hears you when you call?
Who helps you when you fall?
No one but Allah.

Who fashioned us of clay?
Who showed us the right way?
Who hears us when we pray?
No one but Allah.

Who made the rivers flow?
Who taught the stars to glow?
Who sends the winds that blow?
No one but Allah.

All praise is to Allah,
All glory is to Allah,
We worship Allah and,
No one but Allah.

By Abu Eesa Niamatullah. When we are told that 'this is the best' or 'that was the greatest' or 'this will bring the most benefit' etc, have you ever thought who on Earth gave such people/editors the authority to tell us that? In an age when we have a plethora of 'Top 10' or 'Top 100' lists on everything from cars to films, from foods to places, one wonders where is that list that will really provide some benefit to us in this current short life
